Mice and rats can gnaw through wires, through walls, and damage your home. With your own electric trap you can kill and get rid of these pests in a less cruel way. Glue traps and other traditional traps leave mice and rats injured, with the possibility of dying in their hiding places. Although killing mice is not always a pleasant task, it may be necessary when there are too many in your home.
Cut a 1 x 12-inch (2.5 x 30.5 cm) piece of Board to be about 12 inches (30.5 cm) wide and long. Cut another piece of similar dimensions, which will serve as a cover for the first one, and another four to cover the sides.
Cover the bottom board with aluminum foil and place a shallow saucer of milk on top of it.
Cut the end of an extension cord so that only the male plug remains. Strip the brown and blue wires by 1 centimeter and tape it, the blue wire to the aluminum foil and the brown wire to the milk.
Cut a semi circle at the bottom of one of the side boards so the mouse can enter the trap once it is set.
Hot glue the four side pieces and the top together to create a box with an open bottom. Make sure the semicircle you cut is at the bottom of the box.
Carefully place the box on the base without moving the cables.
Connect the base to activate the trap.
